ABOUT US:
As we know, India is a very “Lawful” country, with a plethora of laws to help us in each aspect of life.
Of course, navigating this maze requires skills, energy and patience. Hence, many suffer injustice out of sheer ignorance or lack of energy, resources or patience.
Medical Negligence/malpractice/fraud is a unique genre of crime addressed by many of these laws since, to begin with, it is a war amongst unequals.
On one side is someone who has suffered serious loss – may be even death of a dear one and is already stressed. One who has perhaps never even been to a Police Station or a Court-house in his lifetime and is even now not much interested in such visits.
On the other side is a highly paid battery of experts – including doctors and lawyers. Supported by corporate Hospital Chains having turnovers in thousands of crores and the obvious advantages it brings.
So how and where does someone who believes he/she has suffered irreparable harm due medical negligence/Healthcare corruption start? How does one proceed further? What are the pitfalls and legal loopholes the Opposite Parties know about and will readily exploit? How to prevent such exploitation? Where to go for genuine guidance?
This Site aims to bring such information and hope to the sufferers. A work in progress , we have / will have as we go further :
- Ways to start this battle, including various Foras available.
- Understanding the difference between intended wrongs ( i.e medical malpractice and frauds) vis a vis medical negligence.
- How to proceed further – various laws that already exist to help.
- Lacunas and loopholes in such laws to be aware of so as to minimize the delays and damages they may cause.
- Various judgements that may be used in different cases per specifics of the cases.
And most of all, a group of victims who all have similarly suffered and so have genuine intent to help you.
